By leveraging diverse businesses, as well as arts and cultural assets along transit corridors, we serve as a cultural broker in advocating for smart policies that promote the growth of African immigrant businesses.

Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities. They are where neighbors gather, where culture is kept alive, and where dreams take shape one customer at a time.

Every month, AEDS and the African Museum, Arts, and Cultural Center (AMACC) will spotlight a small business in our community — bringing live cultural performances, art on display, and a gathering of people who come to celebrate, connect, and shop local.
